The ?: What are the footprints (your impact) on an average day of your life?
My morning begins with a surge of electricity when I turn on the lights, I quickly get dressed and turn off the lights. I then head upstairs to consume some food. I usually follow this with using water to wash my face and brush my teeth. I then take the goose; A bus that is used for public transportation. After this I get to school and sit in a classroom for many hours. Finally it is lunch and I consume more food and water. I then go and sit in another classroom for a few hours and finally school is over. I then hang out around town for a few hours and once again take the public transportation home. I then eat more food and I will usually take a shower when i'm done. Then I go on the computer for a few hours and finally I catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's. In a day in my life I eat three meals and use a lot of water and energy. My impact is quite small compared to others, but I could still cut down a little bit. In a year or two my family will be solar powered so we can cut down more. Right now I take public transportation, my family does not have a dishwasher, we recycle and compost everything, and we grow many of our own vegetables. My family feels very strongly towards the environment and we try to cut back as much as possible.
The environment is very important and I try to keep my footprints very small. Right now I would say I am doing a good job of it. The only thing I can think about changing is how much time I spend on the computer and how much energy it waste. Yes I am doing homework most of the time, but I am also talking to friends and checking e-mails. The internet uses a lot of power so I should cut back on that. Once I have solar power it won't be that big of an issue, but for now I think that I should limit myself. Rather than that there is not much I can do.
